Little Libraries of Social Justice

Two traveling suitcases with social justice books for young people

We are excited to share a collection of books that celebrate people who have too often been overlooked and voices that have not been heard.  Inside each suitcase, you will find stories about history, culture and traditions, as well as contemporary challenges faced by Indigenous peoples and communities of color.

These stories are a great starting point for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of Native truths and the lived experience of many.  Picture books form the core of the collection.  We hope children of all ages enjoy these stories and learn something new about themselves and others - perhaps stories they have never heard before, or how much we all share in common and how we are different.

The books in this collection were donated by members of our Anti-racist Book Clubs.
